Please allow me to introduce our organization. We are Team Impact: a revolutionary Wrestling Club serving over 75 athletes in Durham Region and the Greater Toronto Area. Team Impact is a not-for-profit community organization, serving athletes from as young as six years of age to adult. We are affiliated with the Ontario Amateur Wrestling Association (OAWA). The team was first established in 1972 as Durham Region Wrestling Club (DRWC) but with a new vision the name was changed in 1997 to Team Impact.

It gives me a great pleasure to announce that Team Impact has held many Provincial and National team titles in the past. We see this as a tremendous beginning. We hope to guide our current athletes and young champions of tomorrow throughout their wrestling careers, whether to the Elementary School championships or to the Olympics. Our team includes nationally ranked athletes, one of whom represented Canada at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.

Every year Team Impact travels great distances to attend provincial, national and international competitions. In order to attend these tournaments we require much support. Team Impact is inviting sponsors to join our team and share in our success in a mutually beneficial relationship. Our goal is to attain enough funds to offset the financial demands of operating the club and keep registration fees to a minimum. Our primary financial objective is to secure enough funds to pay for accommodations and travel for coaches and athletes to tournaments. We would also like to be able to pay for those who otherwise cannot afford to participate.
