Competition Policy Information for Parents of Athletes under 14 years of age:

1.          Indicate your intention to participate at least one full week before the event. For events that require hotel reservations indicate your intention ASAP, no later than one month before the event.

2.     Each registration includes a coach or an official supervised weigh-in and skin check. This is often done at practice prior to the event.

3.     To avoid cancellation penalty fees, please phone one of the coaches to cancel your entry. The sooner the notice the better we are at saving the costs in cancellation charges.

4.     Please plan to arrive early at the event and confirm your attendance with one of the coaches. Also at this time please check the posted draw sheets to see that your son/daughter are in the correct weight class and age group.

5.     On overnight trips young athletes should be supervised by their parents, guardians and/or friends of the family.  The task of supervising young athletes on an overnight trip has become too laborious a task to ask of a volunteer coach. Parents should assume responsibility to arrange for supervision of their child with someone that they can trust.

6.     Team Impact values being a good sport and putting forth the full out effort over winning. Medals and trophies eventually get lost or broken, but what an athlete will always have from their experiences in sport is what they have become. Developing young athlete with class and integrity is more important to us than developing gold medalist. Our goal is to maintain the highest level of class and provide for a fun learning experience for all athletes. Every athlete should be complimented for trying. There should never be any negative comments or gestures made towards anyone at any time. Please be respectful of others and try to help us maintain our excellent reputation.
